FabGuard APC v5.03.00 Release

Christopher Bode – Semiconductor Application Engineer, FabGuard Applications and Controls Engineering, Austin TX

We are pleased to announce the availability of FabGuard APC v5.03.00, which is the latest in a sequence of releases that demonstrate investment into the core framework architecture. The product roadmap over the past year has focused on key updates to, or migration of, framework components to be compatible with generally available and supported third-party software.

Extensions to management and control capabilities within the framework were improved. While the framework is extensible through custom blocks, core capability continues to be extended.

  • An SDB Query with Custom Relaxation has been added to allow for more customized relaxation rules. This block allows individually specified minimum records and look back age in hours for each level. Relaxation can be set in the block itself or passed in from a parameter record (or other source)
  • RequestExport and RequestSubmit functions have been added for automated extract (by context) and batch resubmission of control jobs. This facilitates reprocessing of control jobs in cases of logic updates, error handling, or other incidents that may require data recovery

Development is ongoing to keep FabGuard APC aligned with customer requirements and requests.

  • LDAP Support for authentication is now provided
  • Performance, security, and build updates associated with the core product migration to Wildfly 9.0.2 / Java 8 / Oracle 12c are ongoing
