New Video - Easy and Fast Ethane Identification with IRwin® Methane Leak Detector now with Built-in Gas Chromatograph

During natural gas pipe surveys, the operator is faced with many tricky situations. Identifying the type of gas in order to decide whether to excavate for repair or not, is just one example. In order to avoid acting on false alarms caused by naturally occurring swamp gas (from decomposing organic matter in the ground), INFICON has launched a new model of the IRwin Methane Leak Detectors: the IRwin SXG, SXGT. With a built-in gas chromatograph, this model has unsurpassed ethane analysis capacities. It needs a concentration as low as 1000ppm methane to perform a gas analysis, making it about twice as sensitive as the industry average. The system detects very low ethane concentrations (from 0.5%) in less than 2 minutes.

Check out our new video and see all the benefits of IRwin SXG – the advanced system for fast identification of natural gas leaks.

IRwin Methane Leak Detector is available for sale in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, United Kingdom, United States and China. Availability in additional countries will follow…
