INFICON :: LEAK TEST - Best Practices for Leak Detection

Ignore Background gases with IGS Mode

The IGS Mode offers a mode in which interference between R600a (as the refrigerant) and Cyclopentane and Isopentane (as a foaming agent), or any mixture of the two, will be suppressed. In this mode, the Ecotec E3000 will automatically differentiate between these three gases and should compensate properly for levels of foaming agents not exceeding 50 g/a with an error of less than 1%.

Sophisticated interfering gas suppression (IGS) algorithm allows the Ecotec E3000 to ignore background gases such as foaming agents under typical refrigeration operating conditions. The system's high speed mass spectrometer applies new intelligent algorithms to clearly distinguish between R600a and typical concentrations of cyclopentane and isopentane, making the Ecotec E3000 especially useful for leak checking refrigeration products.
