New Videos: Sniffer Leak Testing and Testing Against Water Ingress (IP67)

Leak Testing Methods Videos – Sniffer Leak Testing

The choice of the best method for industrial leak testing with tracer gas can be cumbersome and pros and cons of the different methods sometimes difficult to identify. The component, the leak rate level and the need for integral test or point test are a few of the parameters to consider in order to decide which leak testing method should be used and how leak testing should be performed. Check out the second animation in our series: Sniffer Leak Testing.

Leak testing against water ingress (IP67)

Many electronic components and especiallly battery packs for e-mobility need to be protected against water ingress. Thus, they need to fulfill the requirements of ingress protection class IP67. But what leak rate specification does IP67 equal?

In this video, you can see what amounts of water will penetrate different leak path sizes – under the conditions as specified for IP67 in IEC 60529.
