During natural gas pipe surveys, the operator is faced with many tricky situations. Exhaust gases from passing vehicles, high garden fences, cars parked on top of gas lids are just a few circumstances where searching for leaks can be a challenge. INFICON has developed a new system for this multifaceted task which is illustrated in a new animated infographic showing ergonomics, ease-of-use and modularity. The system includes the portable IRwin Methane Leak Detector and a range of smart accessories, such as the unique and patent pending Mono-wheeler Carpet Probe. The system makes it possible for the operator to bring all he or she needs for an efficient survey, no matter the situation.
The newly developed IR sensor makes detection of methane possible from 0-100%.
