Did you know that all over the world legal requirements will restrict and ban the use of common HFC (hydrofluorocarbon) such as R404A, R410A and R134a in refrigeration and air conditioning equipment? In Europe, the revision of the F-gas regulation 517/2014 will restrict and ban the use of several common HFC refrigerants - especially refrigerants with a global warming potential (GWP) of 2500 and above - within the next few years. In the USA, national regulations are reducing CO2 emissions constantly. In Asia, there are no legal requirements yet, however, Asian countries are facing requirements from importing countries.
Common refrigerants with higher GWP will be ultimately replaced by the new environmentally-friendly refrigerants with lower GWP.
To support manufacturers that need to adapt to new regulations, new gases and increasing environmental demands, INFICON invites you to upgrade your current refrigerant leak detector with the new gas libraries. Both the Ecotec E3000 Multigas Sniffer Leak Detector and the HLD6000 Refrigerant Leak Detector are designed to detect several new refrigerants. The gas library of the ECOTEC E3000 leak detector includes the major new generation refrigerants such as R452A, R1234ze and R441A. The gas library of the HLD6000 SMART can be updated with several new generation refrigerants as user defined gases. Additionally, new external test leaks for next generation refrigerants R407F, R441A, R442A, R449A, R452A, R1234ze and R1233zd (Ecotec 3000 only) are available.
