1,000th Protec P3000 Shipped

Luvata Grenada takes delivery of latest leak-detection technology

This summer, the 1,000th INFICON Protec P3000(XL) Helium Sniffer Leak Detector rolled off the assembly line and was delivered to Luvata’s facility in Grenada, Mississippi in a red-ribbon ceremony to commemorate the milestone only 2 1/2 years after market introduction.

The Protec P3000 and Protec P3000XL product line, the best-selling helium leak detector in the world, is used for leak testing of refrigeration / air-conditioning coils after pressurization with helium and is specifically designed for full-time sniffing applications. It can detect leaks at extraordinary distances.

“Luvata was able to make substantial improvements in testing productivity,” explains James McBride, Key Account Manager at INFICON U.S.A. “They chose the Protec P3000XL, because they wanted to upgrade to next-generation technology in leak detection.”

Luvata’s ECO Heatcraft division is a leading global manufacturer of heat-transfer coils and coolers. For nearly half a century, the division has played a major role in developing and manufacturing custom heat transfer products for the HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration), commercial, industrial, transportation, and replacement markets. The division is a part of the global Luvata Group.
