INFICON Service Tools - for HVAC&R system maintenance

Service Tools from INFICON include high-quality, hand-held leak detectors and other products used for service and maintenance by heating, ventilation, and automotive service professionals.

“The technicians who install and repair HVAC&R systems need a leak detector that’s both portable – and durable,” says Thomas Schmitkons, Operations Manager for Service Tools. “The technology of the portable leak detectors is based on the industry standard INFICON HLD4000 and HLD5000 assembly line systems. The sensors are a scaled-down version of the larger systems, optimized for portability but also durable and sensitive enough for a leak detector.”

Since the introduction of the D-TEK hand-held refrigerant leak detector in 1993, INFICON Service Tools has also added the Wey-TEK refrigerant charging scale, Vortex AC refrigerant recovery machine, and the Pilot Plus vacuum gauge. The full line of rugged leak detectors includes:

  • TEK-Mate - the #1 selling leak detector in the North American HVAC&R market, it is an affordable lighter-duty model; used mostly for residential and automotive air conditioning (A/C) applications.
  • Compass - the newest Service Tools leak detector features rechargeability, greater sensitivity and additional features; used for medium-duty commercial and residential A/C applications.
  • D-TEK Select - the top-of-the-line and first hand-held refrigerant leak detector with an infrared absorption sensor, also features a manual zeroing function as well as battery charge and sensor status indicators; used for heavy-duty use, such as industrial A/C and refrigeration applications.
