You can now place your order for the new LDS3000 AQ accumulation leak detector. First deliveries are scheduled for Jan. 2018.
LDS3000 AQ is the newest leak detector from INFICON to be used in simple accumulation testing. It can be used with low cost forming gas or helium. Forming gas is a commonly used gas mixture mostly containing nitrogen (95%) – with 5% hydrogen as the actual tracer gas. LDS3000 AQ detects leaks down to the 10-5 mbar∙l/s range with both gas options and hence bridges the gap between air testing (also called pressure decay testing) and helium vacuum testing.
Leak Rate | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Volume | 5*10-5 mbar l/s | 5*10-4 mbar l/s | 5*10-3 mbar l/s | 5*10-2 mbar l/s |
1 liter | 10 s | 2 s | 2 s | 2 s |

Compared to air testing, the INFICON accumulation method detects smaller leak rates and unlike air testing, the testing results are not impacted by temperature or humidity influence. LDS3000 AQ constantly yields extremely reliable test results with high repeatability. It will detect fluid leaks as reliably as helium vacuum leak testing, but with 50 to 75% lower cost.
LDS3000 AQ comes with the main unit equipped with special accumulation software, an inlet system for tracer gas into the leak detector and a test leak. A display unit, interface modules and a sniffer line are optional accessories.
The special accumulation software allows for easy setup of your accumulation system. Users are guided through the setup by using a CU1000 with the Assistant AQ. The user needs to enter the relevant process parameter like chamber volume, trigger value, gas type etc. and the assistant will recommend an appropriate measurement time. Measurement times can also be selected manually.
INFICON has equipped the LDS3000 AQ with a variety of modern fieldbus interfaces to meet a wide range of applications. Thus, INFICON leak detectors can be linked to industrial networks for full data interchange, making them industry 4.0 ready.
