DeviceNet® and EtherNet Now Available for LDS3000 and HLD6000 Leak Detectors

The use of DeviceNet or Ethernet increases the flexibility for the integration of a leak detector into a leak detection system. The BM1000 DeviceNet (560-317) and BM1000 EtherNet/IP (560-318) modules are now available for order. Both can be used with the LDS3000 leak detector as well as the HLD6000 leak detector family.

The advantages of DeviceNet and Ethernet:

  • both standards allow for very low efforts for cabling and installation
  • both standards are better protected against external influences than conventionalanalogue communication standards
  • Both standards offer a higher reliability of the data traffic and therefore, higher availability of the leak testing system.

With the BM1000 DeviceNet Module, up to 64 devices can be connected with only one cable at a maximum data rate of 500kBit/s. Devices of different manufacturer can be connected and can be replaced, connected or removed without a shutdown of the system. Configuration is done directly via network.

The  BM1000 EtherNet/IP module uses a Standard TCP/IP stack with virtually unlimited nodes. The maximum data rate is 100 Mbit/s. Ethernet/IP is commonly used in industrial production processes and allows for plant wide data exchange between different levels. EtherNet/IP is compatible with all commercially available hardware switches and can be administered with standard software tools.

Certificates for both fieldbus modules can be viewed by clicking on the thumbnail pictures below.
