Industry 4.0 Ready - Leading Edge Interfaces for INFICON Leak Detectors

INFICON is constantly striving to improve our leak detectors and to offer customers the latest state-of-the-art technology. One aspect of these efforts is to make INFICON leak detectors “Industry 4.0 ready.” INFICON was the first manufacturer to introduce the fieldbus technology for tracer gas leak detectors to the market. And to date, INFICON still is the only leak detector manufacturer that offers true fieldbus technology (no emulations) for true integration into your fieldbus system.

Fieldbus technologies help you to achieve very fast data transfer with high data rates. It simplifies embedding your leak detector into your manufacturing environment and helps with easy and fast installation and setup.  Fieldbuses allow you to access your leak detector quickly from anywhere around the world, if needed. INFICON currently offers four different communication modules for four different fieldbus technologies:

Did you know that... ?

• INFICON offers SW modules (GSD /EDS profiles) that you can simply copy to your PLC and start addressing your leak detector via fieldbus protocols?
• all four types of fieldbus technologies are available for all newly released INFICON leak detectors? So far, this has included the LDS3000, LDS3000AQ, HLD6000, UL3000 and now the XL3000flex.
